Maja turns your rent payments into a bank-verified, shareable payment history. Renters connect their bank securely (PSD2, read-only) and get a profile that proves they pay rent on time — no credit check needed. Rental owners see a verified reliability label instead of guesswork, so they can decide who to rent to based on evidence rather than a feeling or a stack of self-reported documents.
You create a free account and connect the bank account you pay your rent from. The connection is read-only: Maja can read incoming and outgoing transactions but can never move money, change your details or make payments on your behalf. Maja then scans your transaction history for recurring rent payments, groups them by month and asks you to confirm which recurring payment is your rent. Once confirmed, your history is scored: how many months are verified, how many payments arrived on time and how consistently you pay. The result is a reliability label such as Excellent Renter, backed by data from your bank rather than a reference letter someone typed by hand.
When you apply for an apartment you create a share link and send it to the rental owner. They see your first name and last initial, your reliability label, the number of verified on-time payments and an approximate rent range — never your exact balance, your other spending or your account number. Links expire after 30 days, and you can see who has opened yours.
Screening an applicant with Maja takes seconds instead of days of email back-and-forth. The first three months of any renter's verified history are free to view. If you need more evidence before signing a long lease, you can unlock six, twelve or twenty-four months of history per profile, with no subscription and no setup fee. Because every payment comes from the renter's bank feed, there are no editable PDFs or screenshots to verify.
